Devilyn Reilly – Quarterback, the heir to the kingdom of the Dark Fae – son of a Light Fae (mother, Tara) and Dark Fae (father, Alderon) “he had a tanned glow, dark hair and obsidian eyes”.

Caroline Ellis – 16 year old straight ‘A’ student with a hidden past – raised as a human but really heir to the kingdom of the Light Fae – “Chestnut brown hair and blue grey eyes”.

Famous – Caroline’s pet dog. Caroline found Famous abandoned by the side of the road. He is a 6 year old Pomeranian.

Odin – Norse God, takes on the role of grandfather to Tatiana and Devilyn after taking them in as children.

Brighid – The Great Mother – who tells Devilyn of the prophecy.

Arthur – Caroline’s biological grandfather – Fae. He was banished in the yew tree for eternity.

Eleanor Dare – Caroline’s grandmother and member of the Lost Colony.

Royce de Danann – Caroline’s father, rightful heir to the throne of the Light Fae.

Virginia – Daughter of Eleanor Dare and Arthur, mother of Caroline.

Iris – Tara’s best friend who was offered protection from the court of Dark Fae.

Tara – Devilyn’s mother Princess of the Light Fae.

Ella – The purest Light Fae, confident to Devilyn.

Esmerelda – Arthur’s mother. Raised Virginia under the protection of the Light Fae.

Artemis – Valkyrie protecting Caroline.

Kristianna – Valkyrie protecting Caroline.

Rowan – Renowned warrior of the Light Fae. Suffered an unknown fate from Alderon and his followers.

Dana – Goddess of the Tuatha De Danann.

Alderon – Current King – leader of the Dark Fae.

Tatiana Reilly – Devilyn’s half sister – daughter of Alderon but raised by Odin and the Light Fae.

Sorai – Tatiana’s mother

Katya – Dark Fae with her sights set on Devilyn.

Puck – Alderon’s servant.

Fenodoree – Banished by the Light Fae and went over to the Dark Fae.

Teddy – Caroline’s best friend, he is later attracted to Tatiana Reilly.

Jordana Kroll – Captain of the cheerleading squad. Devilyn chose her over Caroline even though he disliked her (known as ‘Troll’).

Brian Baker – Quarterback, boyfrined of Jordana until Devilyn came along. Has an interest in Caroline.

Mr Simmons – English teacher.

Natalie Simmons – Editor of the school newspaper.

Mr Allen – History teacher who pairs Caroline and Devilyn for the family tree assignment.

Erika Davis – Cheerleader who lead Caroline to believe the punch was harmless when it had in fact been spiked.

Coach Brown – Manteo High’s football coach.

Patrick – Kelpie sent by Alderon to destroy Caroline – a kelpie is described as a strong and powerful horse.  It is  white and sky blue in colour and appears as a lost pony, but could be identified by its constantly dripping mane.

Violet – Manager of the Elizabethan Gardens – (Fae?).

Toby – Singer in the band London Cries (Fae).

Munin – Elder eagle/raven that flies around the world bringing information to Odin.

Hugin – Elder Eagle/raven that flies around the world bringing information to Odin.

Others – Human

Lisa Ellis – Caroline’s adopted mother.

David Ellis – Caroline’s adopted father.

Edie – Waitress at L & D’s Diner.

Frank – Chef at L & D’s Diner.

Tommy – Teddy’s 8 year old brother.

John White – Governor who took the settlers to Roanoke Island, went back to England for supplies. Three years later he returned to the island and discovered everyone was gone.
